Why SEO Ranking Matters

As people are becoming more and more dependent on their mobile devices to get the answers they need, it’s essential that businesses create an online presence that will increase their likelihood of their consumers finding them. This blog shares 3 points on why SEO ranking matters for small businesses.

1. More people are using mobile devices.

As I had already stated, the number of people using their mobile devices have increased from about 60 million users in 2010 to 220 million users in 2017, according to Statista. That’s over 300% jump in just 7 seven years. Mobile device usage stretches beyond just the number of users; it portrays consumer behavior and how it has been changing dramatically over the past few years. According to Mediakix, nearly 40% of consumers have paid for products/services via mobile devices. More mobile users mean more searches being made on search engines like Google.

2. Ranking #1 (or at least in the first page of results) is crucial.

We can think about this from your own experience and behavior using search engines like Google. Let’s say we’re looking for a local dentist to get our cavity addressed. We type in “dentist near me”, and we get list of dentists we could contact. Typically, users don’t go beyond the first page of results. In fact, #1 ranked results will get twice as much traffic as #2, and over 10 times as much traffic as #10. Even if you’re not an ecommerce business, online presence matters more than ever.

3. More traffic, more leads, more closed deals.

This is something we all can’t deny. More people visiting your site would mean more phone calls you would be receiving inquiring about your products and services, which would lead to a more closed deals than not having your website ranked. We’re all on the same path to grow our businesses, and we believe it’s imperative that we connect our clients to their ideal consumers through Search Engine Optimization and other digital services.
